About Me

Harshit Verma is a versatile Indian classical, indie & Sufi fusion vocalist whose work explores the intersection of tradition and innovation. Trained in the revered Benaras Gharana, Harshit learned music through the guru-shishya parampara under Rahul and Rohit Mishra, the disciples of legendary vocalist Padma Vibhushan Girija Devi ji.

The Raaga Fusion Project

A contemporary Indian fusion band led by Harshit Verma, blending ragas, Sufi poetry, thumri, and Indian classical vocals with modern instruments like electric guitar, saxophone, bass, and ambient textures. Known for high-energy, spiritually rich performances.

Dharamkot Sessions

An original initiative by Harshit, Aman & Siddhant the Dharamkot Sessions are nature-based musical listening journeys hosted in the forests of the Himalayas. These experiences combine live acoustic performance, meditation, and deep listening in a conscious, community setting.

Workshops & Healing Spaces

Harshit regularly conducts Indian vocal workshops, voice activation sessions, and sound healing journeys across India and internationally. These sessions are designed to awaken the voice, deepen breath awareness, and align music with inner healing.

Musical Lineage

Harshit was trained in the Benaras Gharana, known for its emotive expression, spiritual depth, and rich history in semi-classical forms like thumri and dadra. He studied under Rahul & Rohit Mishra, direct disciples of Padma Vibhushan Girija Devi ji, one of the most celebrated classical vocalists of our time. 

FOrmal Education

 

Harshit holds a 6-year diploma in Hindustani Classical Music from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, one of India’s oldest and most respected music institutions. He also completed his academic schooling up to the 12th standard alongside his full-time musical training.
